The rainfall for the month of October at the Botanical Gardens was 3ins. 53 on 10 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was 2ins. 80 on 12 days, at Fanling, lin. 75 on 10 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, lin. 60 on 7 days.
The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 653 at 3h. 00m on the 1st. The maximum gust velocity as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 67 miles per hour at 19h. 37m. on the 1st.
