ORDINANCE No. 37 of 1932. (POLICE FORCE).

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 (1) of the Police Force Ordinance, 1932, the Governor in Council amends the Police Pensions Regulations published in Govern- ment Notification No. 688 in the Gazette of the 20th October, 1933, as follows:-

Amendments.

(1) The following paragraph is added to regulation 14:

(4) Any grant made under the provisions of this regulation shall be in addition to any grant made under regulation 15.

(2) The proviso in regulation 15 is rescinded and the following substituted :----

Provided that if the death takes place in the circumstances described in paragraph (1) of regulation 14 such grant may be made irrespective of the length of the officer's service.

(3) Regulation 26 is rescinded and the following regula- tion substituted:

26. An officer who retires on account of infirmity of mind or body and who has not completed the minimum period of service in the Police Force qualifying for a pension, may be granted a gratuity at a rate not exceeding 1/144th of his salary for each completed month of service.
