The rainfall for the month of July at the Botanical Gardens was 16ins. 17 on 20 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was 14ins. 27 on 21 days, at Fanling, 18ins. 39 on 23 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, 17ins. 74 on 24 days.
The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 436 at 17h. 00m. on the 18th. The maximum gust velocity as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 49 miles per hour at 14h05m. on the 2nd..
