The rainfall for the month of January at the Botanical Gardens was in. 41 on 4 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was 0.40 on 2 days, at Fanling, Qin. 98 on 5 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, Oin. 48 on 5 days.
The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 994 at 16h. 22m. on the 15th. The maximum gust velocity as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 51 miles per hour at 23h. 30m. on the 30th.
