APPOINTMENTS, &c.

No. 45.-Ilis Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. WALTER MORRIS THOMSON to be a Police Magistrate in addition to his other duties, with effect from 1st February, 1934.

No. 46. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Dr. JOHN MACFARLANE GRAY to act as Medical Officer of Health during the absence on leave of Dr. GEORGE WILLIAM POPE, with effect from the 27th January, 1934.

25th January, 1934.

No. 47. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. THOMAS MEGARRY to be District Officer in the Northern District of the New Territories, with effect from 18th January, 1934.

26th January, 1934.

No. 48. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to authorise Mr. THOMAS MEGARRY, under the provisions of section 58 of the New Territories Regulation Ördi- nance, 1910, Ordinance No. 34 of 1910, to hold a Small Debts Court in the New Territo- ries at the following places :-

The Magistracy, Tai Po, the Land Office, Ping Shan, and the charge rooms of the Police Stations at Au Tau, Ping Shan, Sha Tau Kok, Sai Kung, Sha Tin, Sheung Shui, Lok Ma Chau and Castle Peak, with effect from 18th January, 1934.

No. 49.-The King's Exequatur empowering Mr. LOUIS HILL GOURLEY to act as Consul for the United States of America at Hong Kong has received His Majesty's signature.
