(4) Cadets will be required to have the following uniforms:

NOTE: The corresponding white uniform will be required.
(5) All Officers (including Cadets) of the H.K.N.V. on joining will be supplied with the following:-

NOTE: The corresponding white uniform will be supplied.
(6) Officers on being granted commissions or warrants will in addition to the above be eligible for a uniform allowance of $200.00.
An Officer who withdraws or is discharged from the force before the completion of three years will be required to refund the amount paid to him to the extent of one quarter of the allowance in respect of each year or portion of a year by which his service falls short of three years but in exceptional circumstances not attributable to the officers misconduct or imprudence the refund may be waived in whole or in part at the discretion of the Commodore.
(7) The uniform for Ratings is to be of the same pattern Uniform as for Ratings of the Royal Navy with the following exceptions, for Ratings.
viz. :-
(i) Men not dressed as Seamen.-To wear the letters "H.K.N.V." inch in height on the left sleeve of the coat, the bottom of the "H.K.N.V." to be 4" above the bottom of the sleeve.
(ii) Men dressed as Seamen. To wear the letters "H.K.N.V.inch in height on the left sleeve of the jumper, the bottom of the "H.K.N.V." to be 4′′ above the bottom of the sleeve.
(iii) The cap ribbon is to be of the admiralty pattern ap- proved for the Force.
(iv) Ratings are forbidden to appear partly in uniform and partly in civilian dress.
(8) All Ratings of the Force on joining will be supplied with the following kit.
One blue serge suit
One cap One pair of boots
Two blue collars
Two flannels
Two lanyards
