The rainfall for the month of July at the Botanical Gardens was 15ins. 58 on 20 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was 15ins. 00 on 15 days, at Fanling, 7ins. 27 on 20 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, 7ins. 63 on 20 days.

The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 531 at 17h. 39m. on the 29th. The maximum gust velocity as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 65 miles per hour at 2b. 05m. on the 30th.
