ORDINANCE No. 28 of 1917. (FERRIES).
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Ferries Ordinance, 1917, the ferries named hereunder are excluded from the operation of that Ordinance so long as-
(1) no exclusive and conflicting licence is granted under
the said Ordinance; and
(2) only one launch or motor boat is employed by the
person named in the respective services; and
(3) the ferries respectively adhere to a schedule approved
by the Harbour Master; and
(4) all directions given by the Harbour Master as to terminal and intermediate (if any) places or ports of call are complied with; and
(5) only vessels licensed and approved for the purpose
by the Harbour Master are employed; and
(6) the fares and charges at any time taken and made
are approved by the Harbour Master.
EXCLUDED FERRIES.
1. The ferry of Li Yung Pan between Sai Kung and Nam Tau Sha (a point to the North of Clear Water Bay).
2. The ferry of Hung On between Sam Ka Tsun and
A Kung Ngam, ie, across Lyeemun Pass.
3. The ferry of Lau Yu Fook between Shaukiwan and
Hang How.
4. The ferry of Tsang Hok Cheung between Kat O and
Shataukok, via Yung Shu Au and Lai Che Wo.
5. The ferry of Sin Wai Man between Hong Kong and
Sai Kung vid Au Sai.
