ORDINANCE No. 10 of 1899. (MERCHANT SHIPPING).

In exercise of the powers confered by sections 25 (4), 33 (2) and 42 (1) of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899, the Governor in Council hereby further amends Table M in the Schedule to the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899, as follows,-

(1) The heading "(III)—Quarantine Anchorage", above regulation 16, is rescinded and the following heading and sub- heading are substituted therefor :—

"(III) Quarantine Anchorages."

Stonecutters Island Anchorage.

(2) The following sub-heading and matter are added to regulation 16,-

Special Quarantine Anchorage.

(To be used only by ships which have received permission from the Director of Medical and Sanitary Services to do so)

Boundaries:-

On the North.-Latitude.......

On the South.-Latitude....

On the East.-Longitude......

On the West.-Longitude................

22. 18′. 36′′ N.

22 18'. 12′′ S. 114. 12′. 36′′ E. 114°. 11'. 36′′ E.

(3) The sub-heading "The Southern Anchorage" and the words "South of a line joining the points of Belchers Bay", in regulation 17 (which deals with Dangerous Goods Anchorages), are deleted.

(4) All the matter under the sub-heading "The Eastern Anchorage" in regulation 17, which matter was inserted as appears in amendment (4) set forth in Government Notification No. 662 of 1931, is rescinded and the following is substituted therefor :-

Boundaries:-

On the North.-Latitude 22°. 18′. 36′′ N.

On the South.-A line from the south-eastern corner of the Quarantine Anchorage to Devils Peak.

On the West. The eastern boundary of the Quaran-

tine Anchorage.

(5) In regulation 18A (1) the following is substituted as the western boundary of the cable and other protected apparatus area therein referred to:-

Western boundary.-A line drawn from the red light on the Tsim Sha Tsui Wharf (immediately to the north of the Hong Kong Ferry Pier at Kowloon Point) 229° to the north east corner of the New Government Offices, Connaught Road (Fire Station Building).
