2. The Minutes of the Meeting held on the 8th December, 1932, were confirmed.
OATH.
3. His Excellency the General Officer Cominanding the Troops, (Major-General OSWALD CUTHBERT BORRETT, C.B., C.M.G., C.B.E., D.S.O.), took the Oath of Allegiance and his seat as a Member of the Council.
ANNOUNCEMENTS.
4. His Excellency the Governor addressed the Council and congratulated Sir WILLIAM SHENTON, Kt. on behalf of the members of the Council on the honour which was conferred upon him by His Majesty the KING on the occasion of the New Year.
Sir HENRY E. POLLOCK, Kt., K.C., spoke on behalf of the unofficial members.
5. Standing Law Committee.--His Excellency the Governor appointed the follow- ing to be Members of the Standing Law Committee:-The Hon. Attorney General (Chairman), the Hon.
