The rainfall for the month of December at the Botanical Gardens was 4ins. 29 on 5 days, at Fanling, 4ins. 70 on 5 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, 4ins. 88 on 4 days. The record for the Matilda Hospital being incomplete, is not published.

The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 948 at 16h. 30m. on the 27th. The maximum gust velocity as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 43 miles per hour at 2h. 50m. on the 6th.
