10. Betting Duty Bill.-The Attorney General moved the Second reading of the Bill intituled An Ordinance to make provision for the taxation of bets on authorised totalisators or pari-mutuels and on contributions or subscriptions towards authorised cash-sweeps."

In section 4 (1) the following words were added:---

Provided that the Inspector General of Police may permit any club to issue lists of numbers against which the names of the subscribers shall be entered.”

After Clause 9 the following new clause was added :--

10. This Ordinance shall come into operation on the first Commencement.
