Minimum debt in- creased from $300 to $500 (England, £50). Act of bankruptcy to be within 3 months before petition instead of 4 months (England, 3 months. Refer- ence to deeds of arrangement omit- ted because no law on the subject in Hong Kong.

New provision. The first part of sub- clause, (1) merely anticipates the procedure after the Receiving Order provided for in clanse 26. See also clause 29. Debtors frequently abscond before the hearing and allegations that goods or books have been removed are com- mon. It is easy to get out of the Colony.
