NOTICES TO MARINERS.

Sydney Harbour Trust Office, Circular Quay, 22nd November, 1910.

GAS BUOYS IN SYDNEY HARBOUR-FINAL NOTICE.

Ir is hereby notified that, on the 1st December, 1910, a gas buoy will be laid in Port Jackson in each of the three positions stated hereunder, and an occulting light will be shown from the buoys on and after the date mentioned :-

Eastern Channel.-Black buoy moored in five (5) fathoms off Lady Bay, to mark the eastern side of East Channel. Light will be red; period of light, five (5) secon's; eclipse, two (2) seconds.

Western Chanel.-Black buoy moored in three (3) fathoms, two and one-third cables off George's Head, to mark eastern side of West Channel. Light will be red; period of light, two (2) seconds; eclipse, one (1) second.

Off Shark Bay.—Black buoy moored in five (5) fathoms, between Shark Point, and Vaucluse Point to mark shoal water off Shark Bay. Light will be bright; period of light, five (5) seconds; eclipse, two (2) seconds.

Messages should be sent according to the rules laid down in the British Signal Manual. It should be understood that the Marine Board Department cannot accept any responsibility in dispatching from the stations any messages requiring delivery at Adelaide or other ports, but every effort will be made to assist shipping in this direction.

GULF ST. VINCENT.

PORT ADELAIDE RIVER-NORTH ARM.

REFERRING to Notice to Mariners No 3 of 1910, notice is hereby given that in addi- tion to the mooring buoys mentioned therein, further moorings have been placed on the South side of the North Arm, 450ft. Eastward of the South West swinging buoy in 15ft. .L.W.S., and the two buoys form a mooring berth for vessels of up to about 350 feet in

length.

Approximate position, Latitude 34° 49′ S. Longitude 138° 303′ E. This notice affects Admiralty Charts Nos. 1750 and 1752.
