No. S. 220.-It is hereby notified that the following Sales of Crown Laud by Public Auction will be held at the Cheung Chaii Police Station, at 6 p.m., on Friday, the 21st day of October, 1910.

Lot No. 662 is leased on an annual tenancy from the date of sale subject to such of the General Conditions of Sale published in Government Notification No. 365 of 1906 as are applicable to annual tenancies and to the Special Conditions hereunder specified. Lots Nos. 663 and 664 are sold for the term of Seventy-five years from the 1st day of July, 1898, with the right of renewal for a further term of 24 years less 3 days at a re-assessed Crown Rent as Building Lots subject to the General Conditions of Sale published in the aforesaid Notification.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS.

1. No premium shall be charged for the land; the person offering the highest annual Crown Rent shall be deemed the Purchaser.

2. The Lot is to be used solely for drying fish or other purposes to be approved by the Land Officer.

3. The l'urchaser shall not be entitled on the termination of the tenancy to any com- pensation for improvements effected by him on the Lot.

MEDICAL DEPARTMENT.

No. S. 221. It is hereby notified that tenders will be received at the Colonial Secre- tary's Office until Noon of Saturday, the 29th October, 1910, for the supply of Aerated Waters; Bedding and Clothing; Beers, Spirits, Wines, etc.; Chemicals, Drugs, Surgical Instruments and Sundries; Furniture, etc.; Milk, etc.; Provisions; Sundries; and Wash- ing; (Schedules Nos. 1 to 9) required locally, to this Department, for the period of one year, from the first of January next inclusive.

Tenders may be made for all the nine Schedules or for each separately.

Tenders must be in duplicate and in sealed envelopes, endorsed "Tender for Medical Department Contract".

No tender will be considered unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $200, as a pledge of the bonâ fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown, if such person shall refuse to carry out his tender, should the tender be accepted.

The Contractor will be required to enter into a bond for the due fulfilment of his con- tract, and for the supply of all articles of the best quality.

The Contractor for Schedules Nos. 6 and 7 will be required to deliver the supplies for the Victoria Hospital for Women and Children at the Hospital on Barker Road (Peak).
