1. The Lot is delineated on a plan deposited in the Public Works Office.
2. The person, whose tender may be accepted in writing for the Lot, shall pay into the Colonial Treasury, within Seven Days of the date of such acceptance, a sum equivalent to six months' rent of such Lot and shall also, within the saine period, deposit in the Colonial Treasury approved security equal in value to at least one year's rent for the Lot, as a guarantee for the fulfilment of his tender. He shall then be entitled to and shall execute, on demand, a Lease from the Crown of the piece of ground comprised in such Lot for 2 years and 6 months, at the rental specified in his tender, payable half yearly in advance on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in every year: such Lease being in the printed form marked Form A and deposited in the Land Office.
3. The Government will pernit the Lessee to erect and maintain a temporary pier or jetty, as may in the opinion of the Director of Public Works, be reasonably necessary for the purpose of shifting stone cut in the leased quarry into junks or boats; the site and dimensions of such temporary pier or jetty shall be subject in all respects to the approval of the Director of Public Works, who may at any time direct the removal of such temporary pier or jetty to any other place; the expense of such removal to be borne by the Lessée.
4. Should the party whose tender is accepted fail to comply with these conditions or any of them, the sum deposited by him shall be forfeited to the Government and the tender made by him shall thereupon be deemed to be cancelled, and he shall be liable to make good any loss or damage which the Government may incur through his failure to comply with such conditions.
