MUTSURE-JIMA LIGHT AND SHIRA-SU LIGHT ALTERED.

NOTICE is hereby given that Mutsure-jima Light and Shira-su Light, at the west entrance to Shimonoseki Strait (see Notification No. 173 of Department of Communications, February 1910), were permanently altered on the 19th of this month, as follows:-

MUTSURE-JIMA LIGHTHOUSE.

Character of light:-Fifth order flashing white light showing one flash every

15 seconds.

Candle power: About 3,500.

SHIRA-SU LIGHTHOUSE.

Character of light:-Sixth order fixed green light.

Candle power:-- About 30.

Distance visible:-About 6 nautical miles in clear weather.

INUBOE-ZAKI LIGHT, OMAI-ZAKI LIGHT, AND KINKASAN LIGHT CHANGED IN CANDLE POWER.

NOTICE is hereby given that the candle power of the light at Inubbe-zaki Lighthouse on Inuboe-zaki, province of Shimosa, has been changed into 200,000; that of the light at Omai-zaki Lighthouse on the west point of Suruga Gulf, into 180,000; that of the light at Kinkasan Lighthouse at the southeast extremity of the island of Kinkasan, province of Rikuzen, into 180,000.
