No. 285.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Mr. CHARLES HENDERSON Ross to be Captain in the Volunteer Scouts Company with effect from the 24th August, 1910, and Mr. MARCOS WARRE SLADE and Mr. JOHN JOHNSTONE to be Lieutenants with effect from the 1st and 2nd instant, respectively.

His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint, under Sub-section 1 of Section 2 of the Pilots' Ordinance. 1904, (Ordinance No. 3 of 1904), Mr. ANTHONY ALEXANDER HERON MILROY and Mr. Robert UxSWORTH to be Members of the Pilotage Board rice Mr. FREDERICK ARCHIBALD BROWN resigned and during the absence on leave of Mr. HENRY NEAVE, respectively, with effect from this date.
