NOTICE TO MARINERS.

AGINCOURT LIGHTHOUSE.

No. 614.-Position of Lighthouse according to Chart No. 232 of the Hydrogra- phical Department:-

Latitude 25° 37′ 45′′ N.

Longitude 122° 04′ 15′′ E.

The lighthouse is built of brick, round in shape, painted white, height from base to centre of light 70 feet.

The light is visible from all points and flashes once every 15 seconds, but for an are of 52° from North 42 West magnetic to South 86° West magnetic, the light being intercepted by high land, cannot be guaranteed when approached within a distance of less than two mantical miles.

Bearings are from seaward toward the light.

The light is 864,000 candle power and 480 feet above sea level: its radius of visibility on a clear night is 30 nautical miles.

During fog, if an approaching vessel sounds fog signals two cannon shots will be fired from the lighthouse at an interval of two minutes: if the vessel continues to sound fog signals similar shots will be fired at intervals of five minutes.
