MAGISTRACY.
No. 531.-It is hereby notified that a raeeting of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the Colony will be held at the Magistracy, at 2.15 p.m., on Tuesday, the 7th September, 1909, for the purpose of considering the following applications under the Liquor Licences Ordinances, 8 of 1898 and 8 of 1908, viz. :-
1. From one G. BERTOLONE for permission to remove the business now carried on by him under an Adjunct Licence on premises numbered 37, Queen's Road Central, to the unnumbered premises in York Buildings which were formerly occupied by Messrs. Cottam & Co.
2. From one NATHAN GRUZMAN for a Publican's Licence to sell by retail intoxi- cating liquors on premises numbered 37, Queen's Road Central, under the sign of "The Palace Bar ".

No. 532.-It is hereby notified that the following Sales of Crown Land by Public Auction will be held at the District Land Office, Tai Po, at 10 a.m., on Saturday, the 4th day of September, 1909.
The Lots are sold for the term of Seventy-five years from the 1st day of July, 1898, with the right of renewal for a further term of 24 years less 3 days at a re-assessed Crown Rent (Lots Nos. 469 and 470 as Agricultural Lots and Lots Nos. 1096, 1605 and 1803 as Building Lots) subject to the General Conditions of Sale published in Government Notifica- tion No. 365 of 1906. Lot Nos. 469 and 470 are subject further to the special condition hereunder specified.
The amount to be spent in rateable improvements on each of the Lots Nos. 1096, 1605 and 1803 under the General Condition No. 5 is $100.
