OTICE is hereby given that the KWONG HOONG FAT firm of No. 266 Des Voeux Road, Victoria in the Colony of Hongkong, Flour Merchants, have on the 23rd day of June, 1909, applied for the registration in Hongkong in the Register of Trade Marks of the following Trade Marks, viz. :-

The representation of a landscape depict- ing the side of a hill, a river, a cotton tree with cotton leaves and flowers on its branches, and a stag standing thereby with two bats flying above: above the device

flower pot containing an orange tree with oranges and leaves attached to its branches and a Chinese Jade Charm lying behind the vase or flower pot. Above the said device are the words "Kwong Hoong Fat", below which is a scroll containing the Chinese

characters “如意吉祥

meaning a jade and orange (lucky auspices according to your wishes) Below the mark are the words "orange brand ”.

in the name of the KwoNG HOONG FAT tirm who claim to be the sole proprietors thereof.

The Trade Marks have been used by the Applicants since the year 1907, in respect of Flour, in Class 42.

Facsimiles of the Trade Marks can be seen at the Office of the Colonial Secretary of Hongkong and also at the Offices of the under- signed.

194 Hollywood Road Victoria in the Colony of Hongkong have on the 4th day of June 1909, applied for the registration in Hongkong in the Register of Trade Marks of the follow- ing Trade Mark :-

The three characters (杏林庄)

Hang Lam Chong meaning the apri- cot grove cach character being print- ed on one of three apricots on a twig with leaves and apricot blossoms and below a picture scroll with curled edges showing three figures repre- senting a mandarin in the centre, a squire on the right and an old man holding a staff on the left, the three combined forming the emblem of Blessings, Honour and Longevity, in front of the figures a white wine jar with blue spots thereou and a ladle therein and on the said scrolls totus and other flowers in bloom with leaves and birds and an edging of key pattern at the top and bottom thereof

in the name of HANG LAM CHONG ( who claim to be the sole proprietors thereof.

The Trade Mark has been used by the Applicants during the last six years in respect of the following goods :-

Medicinal wine, in Class 3.
