Application for Registration of Trade Mark,
OTICE is hereby given that W. R. LOXLEY AND COMPANY of Victoria. Hongkong, Merchants, have on the 25th day of March 1909 applied for the registration, în Hongkong, in the Register of Trade Marks, of the following Trade Marks ---
1. A Chinese standing on the foreground of the picture holding a flag. In the background are a steamer and junk on a sen surrounded by mountains on one of which is a fort.
2. Three owls, each sitting on a branch of a tree and each enclosed by an oval border.
3. A Chinese boy carrying a bag of rice and in the background a large tree and the Chinese characters meaning
carrying rice for 100 lis".

4. A fishing boat with a Chinese thereon with a rod in his hand fishing and the Chinese characters meaning "fish- ing sketch". In the background are bamboos and in the top right corner is the moon.
5. A Chinese riding a horse and the Chinese characters meaning "riding a horse picture ".
6. A Chinese girl with her arms round a tiger's neck. The tiger is lying on a' table, on each side of which, are two large chrysanthemum plants.
7. A Chinese carrying on his left arm a shield and in his right hand an axe with which he is about to strike a large tiger. On the top of the picture are Chinese characters mean- ing striking tiger picture".
