TOTICE is hereby given that Messis. JORGE & CO. have on the first day of June 1909 applied for the registration, in Hongkong, in the Register of Trade Marks, of the following Trade Mark -
A presentation of part of a Chinese theatrical performance known by the name of Hei d'ok consisting of a Chinese lady in conversation with ber brother-in-law outside the door of her house close to which is a peach tree in full blossom with a back ground of hills and clouds and the two char- acters Bei S'ok printed thereon, the whole mounted on a gilt frame sur- rounded by floral docorations with 4 on the

in the name of Messrs. JORGE & Co. who claim to be the sole proprietors thereof.
The Trade Mark is intended to be used by the Applicants forthwith, in respect of the following goods :---
Cotton piece goods of all kinds in Class 24 and woollen and worsted and hair goods (not included in Classes 33 and 34) in Class 35.

N "OTICE is hereby given that W. R.NOTICE is hereby given that the HANG
LOXLEY AND COMPANY of Victoria, Hongkong, Merchants, have on the 25th day of March 1909 applied for the registration, in Hongkong, in the Register of Trade Marks, of the following Trade Marks:----

1. A Chinese standing on the foregroun i of the picture holding a flag. In the background are a steamer and junk on a sea surrounded by mountains on one of which is a fort.
2. Three owls, each sitting on a branch of a tree and cach enclosed by an oval border.
3. A Chinese boy carrying a bag of rice, and in the background a large tree and the Chinese characters meaning
carrying rice for 100 lis".
4. A fishing boat with a Chinese thereon with a rod in his hand fishing and the Chinese characters meaning fish- ing sketch". In the background are bamboos and in the top right corner is the moon.
3. A Chinese riding a horse and the Chinese characters meaning “riding a horse picture ".
6. A Chinese girl with her arms round a tiger's neck. The tiger is lying on a table, on each side of which, are two large chrysanthemum plants.
7. A Chinese carrying on his left arm a shield and in his right hand an axe with which he is about to strike a large tiger. On the top of the picture are Chinese characters mean- ing striking tiger picture".

The Trade Marks have been used by the Applicants as follows :-
Nos. 1 and 6 in respect of Articles of
Clothing in Class 38.
Nos. 3, 4, 5 and 7 in respect of Cotton
Piece Goods of all kinds in Class 24. No. 2 in respect of Articles of Clothing in Class 38 and Cotton Piece Goods of all kinds in Class 24.

The three characters (杏林庄)
Hang Lam Chong meaning the apri- cot grove each character being print- ed on one of three apricots on a twig with leaves and apricot blossoms and below a picture scroll with curled edges showing three figures repre- senting a mandarin in the centre, a squire on the right and an old man holding a staff on the left, the three combined forming the emblem of Blessings, Honour and Longevity, in front of the figures a white wine jar with blue spots thereon and a ladle therein and on the said scrolls lotus and other flowers in bloom with leaves and birds and an edging of key pattera at the top and bottom thereof
