(b.) Any collision between trains one of which is a
train carrying passengers.
(c.) The derailment of any train carrying passengers
or any part of such a train.
(d.) Any accident of a description usually attended with loss of life or with grievous bodily harm or with serious injury to property.
(e.) Any accident of any other description which the Governor-in-Council may notify in this behalf in the Gazette.
The railway administration shall without unnecessary delay send notice of the accident to the Colonial Secretary and the Station Master nearest to the place where the accident occurred or where there is no Station Master the official in charge of that part of the railway on which the accident occurred shall give notice of the accident to the officer in charge of the nearest Police Station.
29. The Governor-in-Council may make rules for all or Power to any of the following purposes:
(a.) For prescribing the forms of the notices men- 4ioned in the last foregoing section and the particulars of the accident which those notices are to contain.
(6.) For prescribing the class of accidents of which
notice is to be sent by telegraph immediately after the accident has occurred.
(e.) For prescribing the duties of railway officials or Police Officers on the occurrence of an ac- cident.
(7.) For holding enquiries into accidents.

30. Auy Station Master or railway official who omits to Penalties for give notice of an accident as is required by section 28 and failure to the rules for the time being in force under section 29 shall comply with on summary conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding fifty dollars,

Provision for
amination
31. Whenever any person injured by an accident on railway claims compensation on account of the injury any compulsory Court or person having by law or consent of the parties medical ex- authority to determine the claim may order that the person of person injured be examined by some duly qualified medical practi- mjured in tioner named in the order and not being a witness on either railway side and may make any order with respect to the costs of accidents. the examination as it (or he) thinks fit.
Management.
32.-(1.) The railway administration subject to the General approval of the Governor-in-Council may from time to time Rules. make General Rules consistent with this Ordinance for the
following purposes namely :-
(.) For regulating the mode in which and the speed at which the rolling-stock used on any rail- way is to be moved or propelled.
(b.) For providing for the accommodation and con- venience of passengers and regulating the carriage of their Inggage.
(c) For declaring what shall be deemed to be for the purposes of this Ordinance dangerous or offensive goods and for regulating the carri- age of such goods.
(d.) For regulating the classification of goods and specifying those that are to be charged for at special rates.
(e.) For regulating the conduct of the railway offi-
cials.
(1.) For fixing the charges to be made for the conveyance of passengers and goods by the railway.
(g.) For regulating the conditions on which the rail- way administration will carry persons suffer- ing from infectious or contagious diseases and providing for the disinfection of carriages which have been used for such purposes or for carrying corpses.
