No. 408.-With reference to Government Notification No. 340 of 4th June, 1909, it is hereby notified that the Lights therein mentioned will be exhibited from the 1st August, 1909.

FIRE BRIGADE DEPARTMENT.
No. 409.-It is hereby notified that tenders will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Thursday, the 15th day of July, 1909, for the construction of the hull, propelling machinery and fittings of a Floating Fire Engine, in accordance with plans and specifications which can be seen at the Government Marine Surveyor's Office, Harbour Office.
Length over all, 79 feet 6 inches,
Extreme breadth, 15 feet.
Depth moulded, 6 feet 6 inches.
Extreme draft with tanks and bunkers full, 4 feet 9 inches.
The tenderer must specify the time required by him to complete the work and the place at which the vessel will be constructed when submitting his tender.
No tender will be considered unless the person tendering produces a deposit receipt from the Treasury (as a pledge of the bona fides of his tender) for the sum of $100,
The successful tenderer will be required to sign a formal contract containing conditions to be prescribed by the Superintendent of the Fire Brigade and also to give security to the satisfaction of His Excellency the Governor in the sum of $1,000. Failing compliance with the latter requirements, the sum deposited with the tender will be forfeited.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

LAND REGISTRY OFFICE.
No. 361.-Terms of proposed Lease of Foreshore and Sea Bed, situate at Tsing I, New Territories.
Notice is hereby given under Section 3 of the Foreshores and Sea Bel Ordinance, 1901, that it is proposed by His Excellency the Governor to grant under the said Ordinance a lease of the Foreshore and Sea Bed or Land covered by the Sea situate at Tsing I, in the New Territories, in the Colony of Hongkong, the particulars and area whereof are specified in the Schedule hereto, and the Limits and Boundaries whereof are shown on a plan which is deposited and may be seen at the District Land Office, Beaconsfield, Hongkong, such Lease to be granted for the term of Seventy-five years from the 1st day of July, 1898, with the option of renewal by the Lessee for a further term of 24 years less the last three days thereof at a re-assessed Crown Rent. The Lease to be in the usual form of Lease of Build- ing Lands in the New Territories and to contain a special covenant that the Lessee shall have no right of access to the Sea.
