GOVERNMENT OF WEIHAIWEI.
No. 286.-It is hereby notified that tenders are invited by the Government of Wei- haiwei for the privileges of the Chinese Spirits Farm from the 1st July next inclusive.
Tenderers should state what they are prepared to offer for a one year, two year, and three year lease.
The privileges of the Spirits Farmer in Weihaiwei are similar to those of the Spirits Farmer in Hongkong and the Straits Settlements and apply to the whole of the leased Territory of Weihaiwei including the Island of Liu Kung.
Full information will be given to intending tenderers at the Office of the Secretary to Government.
Tenders must be received on or before the 15th day of June, 1909. The population of the Territory of Weihaiwei is estimated at 150,000. The Government does not bind itself to accept the highest or any tender.
