HARBOUR MASTER'S DEPARTMENT.
No. 40. It is hereby notified that information has been received from the Military Authorities that Gun Practice will be carried out as under:-
On Monday, the 25th January:-
From Pinewood in a Westerly direction, at ranges up to 10,000 yards,
commencing at 10 a.m., and finishing at 11.30 a.m.
From High West in a South-Westerly direction, at ranges up to 6,000 yards,
commencing at 11.30 a.m., and finishing at 1 p.m.
On Wednesday, the 27th January
From Stonecutters (East) in a Westerly direction, at ranges up to 10,000
yards, commencing at 2.30 p.m., and finishing at 4 p.m.
From Mov. Armt. Position, Stonecutters, in a Westerly direction, at ranges up to 5,000 yards, commencing at 4.30 p.m., and finishing at 6 p.m.
If the weather is unfavourable on any of the above dates, practice will take place on the following day.
All ships, junks and other vessels are to keep clear of the ranges.

No. 41. The Offices of the Supreme Court will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the Chinese New Year Vacation, which commences on the 22nd and terminates on the 26th January, 1909, (both days inclusive), except on Public Holidays, when the Offices will be entirely closed.

No. 42. It is hereby notified that the following Sale of Crown Land by Public Auction will be held at the District Land Office, Tai Po, at 10 a.m., on Monday, the 1st day of February, 1909.
The Lot is sold for the term of Seventy-five years from the 1st day of July, 1898, with the right of renewal for a further term of 24 years less 3 days at a re-assessed Crown Rent as a Building Lot subject to the General Conditions of Sale published in Government Notification No. 365 of 1906.
