SPECIAL CONDITIONS.

1. The lessee may not mortgage or sub-let the land.

2. The lease is determinable at any time on six calendar months' notice being given.

3. If the lease is determined by notice from the Crown before the expiration of the period for which the lot is leased, the lessee is, if he has made improvements and if it is recommended by the District Officer to be entitled to compensation, such compensation to be not more than twice the value of a crop taken off the land resumed.

4. At the expiration of the term for which the lot is leased, the land with all impro- vements of whatever kind shall revert to and become the absolute property of the Government and no compensation whatever shall be payable to the lessee in respect of such improvements.

5. The lessee shall within twelve months from the date of lease construct a bund on the seaward side of the lot to the satisfaction of the District Officer, North.

No. S. 376.--It is hereby notified that the following Sale of Crown Land by Public Auction will be held at the District Office, Hong Kong, at 11 a.m., on Friday, the 6th day of January, 1928.

The Lot is sold for the term of Seventy-five years from the 1st day of July, 1898, with the right of renewal for a further term of 24 years less 3 days at a re-assessed Crown Rent as a Building Lot, subject to the General Conditions of Sale published in Government Notification No. 570 of 1924, and Special Condition 2 (b).

The amount to be spent in rateable improvements to the satisfaction of the District Officer, South, within two years from the date of sale is $2,000.
