NOTICES TO MARINERS.

Obstruction to Navigation.

Under authority conferred by Section 22 (5) of Ordinance No. 10 of 1899, it is hereby notified that on and after Friday, October 21st, 1927, and until further notice dredging operations will be carried out off Tsim-sha-tsui, Kowloon Point, in an area bounded as follows:-

Masters of all vessels are to proceed at a speed not greater than five knots when approaching and in the vicinity of this area and are not to pass between the dredger and her anchor buoys.

The restrictions regarding the working of the dredger at Belcher Ridge and Rambler Shoal area issued on 13th August, 1927, and published in the Government Gazette No. S. 200 of Friday, August 19th, 1927, and Gazette Notice No. 599 of 18th October, 1927, published in Government Gazette Extraordinary dated 18th October, 1927, are hereby cancelled.

No. S. 262.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for maintenance of Water Works", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 24th day of October, 1927, for the maintenance, repair, and minor extensions or alterations of Water Works in Hong Kong, Kowloon and the New Territories during the year 1928.

No work will be permitted on Sundays.

For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
