HARBOUR NOTIFICATION.

No. 9 of 1927.

Ports of Saigon and Haiphong declared Cholera infected.

Notice is hereby given that the Superintendent of Customs and the Treaty Power Consuls have declared the ports of Saigon and Haiphong to be cholera infected.

All vessels arriving therefrom will be governed by the Sanitary Regulations for the Port of Shanghai.

Request to fly Mail Pennants.

Masters of vessels arriving at the Port of Shanghai, and having mails on board for the Chinese Post Office, are hereby requested to hoist the mail pennant, or the International Code pennant "F", at the fore when the vessel is entering the mouth of the Whangpoo, and to keep it flying till the vessel is visited by the Postal Officer at Shanghai.

The object of making the hoist at the mouth of the Whangpoo is to enable the Harbour Master's Woosung Signalman to telephone to Shanghai the names of all vessels arriving and carrying mails.

All Masters of vessels are requested to give this their earnest attention.
