The Master of S.S. Sanning has reported on 26.1.27 the presence of a sunken object in the bed of the West River where the Kerr Channel turns into the Yellow Reach, just below Junction Bend. The position on the chart is due south of the town Yung Ki. The object seems to be of a hard nature.

The Astronomical positions are approximate unless seconds are given. The bearings are True and in degrees from 000° (North) to 359° measured clockwise, and those relating to lights are from seaward. The visibility of lights is that in clear weather. Fog signals are sounded only in thick or foggy weather. The elevation given is the height of focal plane above mean H.W. springs.

Port Lincoln.

Cape Donnington Light (U)—Altered are of visibility.

Mariners and others are hereby notified that the arc of visibility of the Group Flash- ing Light (U) with White and Red Sectors on Cape Donnington will be altered by obscuring the White Sector formerly shown from 074° to 078°, on or about 1st March,

1927.

Position--Southward of extreme. Lat. 33° 44′ S. Long. 136° 00′ E., on Chart

No. 784.

Visibility-White 14 miles, Red 11 miles. Red from 078° to 140°, White thence

to 290°, Red thence to 313°, obscured elsewhere.

Note-In other respects the light will remain unaltered. No further notice will

be given.
