An Ordinance to amend the Promissory Oaths

Ordinance, 1869.

[1st April, 1927.]

BE it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Promissory Short title. Oaths Amendment Ordinance, 1927.

2. Sub-section (1) of section 9 of the Promissory Amendment Oaths Ordinance, 1869, is amended as follows:---

of Ordinance No. 1 of 1869.

(a) The following words are inserted between the 8. 9 (1).

word Councils" and the word "shall" in

the first line thereof :-

"and the Deputy Clerk of Councils ”.

(4) The following words and signs are inserted between the word “Councils" and the word "in" in the third line thereof :-

"(or Deputy Clerk of Councils),”

of Ordinance

3. Part II of the Schedule to the Promissory Oaths Amendment Ordinance, 1869, is amended by the substitution of No. 1 of 1869. "The Marine Magistrates" for "The Marine Magis- schedule, trate".
