LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS No. 183.

Martial Law declared at Whampoa.

Notice is hereby given that the following communication has been received from the Waichiao Pu (Foreign Office) :-

"Martial Law was enforced in Whampoa on the 9th September and that the places of Ngou Shan (4), Yu Chu (), Shalu (H), Whampoa Sunchow (), Sunchao (#), Koon Shan (), etc., are all included. During the period of Martial Law, all vessels, both Chinese and Foreign, must not intrude into the defined line, before 6 a.m. and after 7 p.m."

No. S. 265.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Road from Causeway Bay to North Point (100-foot)", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 11th day of October, 1926, for the construction of a 60-foot width of roadway for a length of about 300 feet on the East side of Inland Lot No. 2416, North Point; including drainage and

any other necessary work which may arise in connection therewith.

No work will be permitted on Sundays.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
