With reference to notice No. 18 of 1926, Mariners and others are hereby notified that the establishment of a White Flashing Light (U) on Sandy Cay is postponed until further notice.

APPROACHES TO RANGOON.
China Bakir Light Vessel to be replaced by New Light Vessel.
On or about 10th September, 1926, the China Bakir Light Vessel Martaban will be replaced by the new Light Vessel Thibaw in Latitude 16° N., Longitude 96° 13′ E., showing a white flashing light every five seconds visible 12 miles. Light Vessel with tubular steel mast China Bakir on sides.
Height in feet of focal plane to water line..
Character and candle power of illuminating apparatus
.45 feet.
ACA 4th order 50,000 standard candles.
Remarks.
Duration of flash-1/5th of a second.
Vessel is fitted with Diaphone fog-signalling apparatus one blast of 2 seconds
duration every 20 seconds.
