The Port of Canton declared Cholera infected.

Notice is hereby given that the Superintendent of Customs and the Treaty Power Consuls have declared the Port of Canton to be cholera infected.

All vessels arriving therefrom will be governed by the Sanitary Regulations for the Port of Shanghai.

Declaration of infection against Canton withdrawn.

Referring to Harbour Notification No. 20 of 1926, declaring the port of Canton to be cholera. infected, notice is hereby given that the declaration against that port has been withdrawn; and that the medical inspection of vessels therefrom has been discon- tinued.

Notice is hereby given that the Superintendent of Customs and the Representative of the Foreign Consular Body have declared the Port of Shanghai to be infected with Cholera.

All vessels arriving therefrom either at Canton or Whampoa on and after this date are to be governed by the Sanitary Regulations for the Port of Canton with two modi- fications as noted below.

The following temporary modifications are to be noted :---

(1.) Steamers arriving from Shanghai bound for Whampoa need not anchor at the Tide Pole Quarantine Anchorage but may proceed to Whampoa. On their arrival there they will be boarded by the Customs Boarding Officer, who will demand a statement in writing from the Captain of the vessel concerned as to whether there were any deaths on board after leaving Shanghai and whether there are or were any cases of sickness. If the Captain's report is such as to arouse suspicion in the minds of the Customs
