NOTICES TO MARINERS.

The following advice has been received from the Master S. S. Lok Sun :-

“Tuesday, 19th January, 1.10 p.m. Lat. 20° 34′ N. Loug. 107° 25′ E. passed six logs lashed together about 30 ft. long. Dangerous to navigation."

"Monday, 25th January, 2.45 p.m. Lat. 20° 11' N. Long. 110° 40′ E. passed wreckage of Junk off Hainan Head in the Channel between Red buoy, and Riversdale buoy. Piece of planking from Starboard bow attached to portion of stem is showing. Remainder of Junk if close at hand is dangerous to navigation ".

Mindanao-North Coast-Agusan River-Range Light Collapsed.

Notice is hereby given, for the information of all concerned, that the rear concrete beacon which forms the range lights marking the entrance to Agusan River has collapsed due to the overflowing of the Agusan and Baug Rivers. This beacon will not be recon- structed in view of the constant changing of the channel caused by the currents of both rivers.

Mariners are, therefore, advised to depend upon the only light remaining and to avail themselves of the services of a pilot at Pontod Island before entering the Agusan River. See No. 157, List of Lights, etc., 1924.

Luzon East Coast-Tayabas Bay-Lucena Light Discontinued.

The fixed red light displayed from a white steel-framed structure at Lucena has been permanently discontinued and the tower dismantled. See No. 51, List of Lights,

etc.,
