The light tower, which is square, built of concrete, and painted white, is 39 feet

in height from base to lantern vane.

The illuminating apparatus is Dioptric, of the Third Order, and the character of the light is group-flashing, showing three white flashes in quick succession every 30 seconds, thus-

The light is elevated 226 feet above mean sea level, and should be visible in clear

weather at a distance of 22 nautical miles.

During foggy or thick weather a fog siren will be sounded, giving one blast of

seconds at intervals of 50 seconds.
