No. 556.-The scale of charges for medical treatment in the Government hos- pitals and a-ylums published in the Gazette on the 24th day of December, 1903, as Notification No. 820 is hereby cancelled and the following scales are substituted therefor, with effect from the 1st of January, 1927.
SCALE OF CHARGES FOR MAINTENANCE AND MEDICAL TREATMENT IN GOVERNMENT HOSPITALS (OTHER THAN THE PEAK HOSPITAL) AND AS LUMS,
Naval small-pox Patients.
Naval officers and men treated in Kennedy Town Hospital are charged $2 a day.
Other naval and military patients are charged in accordance with the following scale for other patients.

(1) For medical attendance, a charge at the rate of one third of the rate for
maintenance.
(2) For surgical operations, such charge, not exceeding $300, as the Principal Civil Medical Officer shall think fit having regard to the nature of the operation:
