Compensation: No compensation is payable for the loss of an insured parcel containing jewellery exceeding $850 in value which is not enclosed in a strong box measuring at least 3 feet 6 inches in length and girth combined. Licences; In addition to the prohibitions or restrictions detailed under LETTER POST and PARCEL POST, the entry of a wide range of goods is either entirely prohibited or permitted only under a special licence. Exporters are therefore recommended not to forward any goods before ascertaining whether the importers possess the necessary licence or whether a licence is necessary. Import licences are not required for unsolicited gifts not exceeding $100 in value.
Packing and marking: Parcels containing non-inflammable films must bear a white label clearly marked in black with the words Films-non-inflammable.
