Gift parcels; Customs charges are payable on gift parcels. An import licence is not required for an unsolicited gift parcel sent by one private individual to another, but the words Envoi Isolé Gratuit must be written prominently on the cover of the parcel.

Restrictions : The importation of certain classes of goods is subject to the production of an import licence; and before posting parcels senders are asked to make sure, by inquiry of the addressees, that the necessary licence has been obtained or that one is not required.

Charges: Charges for inland conveyance are collected from the addressee, except at Fort de France, Basse-Terre and Point à Pitre.
