AIR MAIL SERVICES

The general regulations applicable to surface mails apply also to air mails; the postage rates are given in the current air mail leaflet and are also shown under the country of destination in Section II of this Guide. An AIR PARCEL SERVICE is available to a number of countries.

A fee of 50c. for each $300 of insured value, or part of $300, (additional to the registration fee) is charged. Maximum insured value, $1,840.

First 10 ozs., $1.50; Each additional 2 ozs., 30c.; Exclusive of Insurance and Registration fees.

A fee of 40c. is charged to all destinations.

5c., per parcel, minimum 40c., for each name of a ship or each aircraft.

Fee $2 per annum.

British Postal Orders of the following values are sold and encashed. 6d, 1/-, 1/6, 2/-, 2/6, 3/-, 4/-, 5/-, 10/-, 15/-, 20/-, 21/-, £2, £3, £4, and £5, a small poundage charge is made in respect of each order sold.

Money Orders for local payment are issued up to a value of $400. Commission charged is 1 cent for each dollar or part of a dollar, (Minimum charge 5c.).

The maximum amount for an order payable abroad varies in different countries and the relative section of this guide should be consulted. Commission charged on such an order is at the rate of 11 cents for each dollar or part of a dollar, (Minimum charge 10c.).

This service is available only to Great Britain and the Irish Republic. Maximum $640 (£40). The sender is required to pay telegraph charges in addition to money order com- mission.

Fee 40c.

A C.O.D. service is available to Great Britain and Malaya (including Singapore). Maximum. Great Britain-$640 (£40), Malaya--$666 (Mal. $340).

Fees 20c. in addition to postage.

$10 per annum.

$20 per annum. A separate licence at $20 is required for a car, yacht or launch radio.
