OVERSEAS PARCEL POST RATES

This list shows the rates of parcel postage to various destinations abroad including the limit of insured value in the case of places to which the insured service extends, and particulars of the type of customs declarations required.

Column 1 shows countries of destination in alphabetical order;

Column 2 shows the route. Attention is drawn to the fact that an alternative route may offer insurance facilities, a higher or lower maximum limit of weight or may require different customs declaration forms.

Column 3 indicates the maximum amount for which a parcel may be insured (insurance fee is 50c. for each $300 of insured value or part of $300);

Column 4 shows the postage rates;

Column 5 gives particulars of the customs declaration forms required. The letter "A4" indicates that an adhesive type of form is required; "C" indicates the non-adhesive type. Two or more of the non-adhesive forms are in some cases required and with these a despatch note (“DN") is also required. The figures indicate the number of such forms required (example: 4C., IDN means 4 non-adhesive forms and a despatch note).
