Restrictions apply to the importation of: Arms; medicines; plants, seeds and vegetables. Cigars and boxes of cigarettes must bear Mexican revenue stamps affixed by the makers and obtainable from the Ministry of Finance, Mexico. In addition, a large variety of goods require import licences to be obtained by the addressces in Mexico.
Invoice : A commercial invoice in triplicate is required for each parcel, or consignment of parcels, irrespective of the value of the contents. This should be inserted in the parcel or in one of the parcels in the case of a consignment. It is advisable to mark the wrapper of the parcel which contains the invoice. The invoice does not require a consular visa.
Packing: Straw hats and similar articles are accepted only if packed in strong wooden or metal cases.
Address: Every parcel addressed to a bank or other agent of the person for whom it is intended must bear on the wrapper the full name and address of the ultimate consignee as well as the agent's name and address.
