Enquiries & complaints concerning the Post Office Services.
Enquiries and complaints in regard to all post office services should be addressed to the Controller of Posts. Complaints regarding mishandling or mistreatment of mail should be accompanied by the envelope or wrapper to which the complaint refers, if available. The public are urged to report any loss or non-delivery or other mis- treatment of mail since these reports may be used to correct such conditions.
HOURS OF BUSINESS
The hours during which an office is open can be ascertained by reference to the local window notice, but the following information generally applies.
WEEKDAYS
G.P.O., Hong Kong. The hours of business are as follows:
Stamps, Poste Restante, Registration and
Parcels
Money Orders and Postal Orders
Wireless Licences
8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
10.00 a.m. to 6.00'p.m.
9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Kowloon Post Office and Branch Post Offices are open between the hours 8.00 a.m, to 5.00 p.m.
SUNDAYS
All offices are closed.
PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
The hours of business are as advertised,
LICENSED STAMP VENDORS
Postage stamps may be obtained also from certain persons and firms to whom the Postmaster General has issued a licence.
POSTAGE STAMPS AND STAMPED STATIONERY
The following values of stamps and stamped stationery are issued by the Post Office.
Any item not stocked at a particular office may be obtained at a few days' notice.
