Limitations of service and special conditions

PROHIBITIONS: Letters; cotton seed; cotton (except samples of ginned cotton ..not exceeding 2 kilogrammes addressed ENTOMOLOGICAL SECTION, MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE, CUSTOM HOUSE, ALEXANDRIA, FOR MR...... ); tobacco seeds; Sudanese tobacco; adulterated or artificial tobacco. RESTRICTIONS apply to the importation of brushes or hair or silk used in

their manufacture; firearms; patent medicines; plants.

ADDRESS: the address of a parcel intended for delivery through a bank or other intermediary should not contain any reference to the ultimate con- signee, but the latter's name and address should be enclosed in the parcel. INVOICE: a copy of the relative invoice should be enclosed in the parcel. FACKING should be very strong.

CUSTOMS DECLARATIONS should bear the actual signature of the sender.

PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS: same as for United Kingdom. DELIVERY: a fee of sixpence is payable by the addressee on each parcel.

PROHIBITIONS: letters; arms (except sporting guns, admitted under permit);

roulette and other apparatus for games of chance.

RESTRICTIONS apply to the importation of pharmaceutical preparations. CERTIFICATE: commercial parcels should be accompanied by certificates of

origin authenticated by a consul for El Salvador.

INVOICE: an invoice in quadruplicate, made out in Spanish and certified by a consul for El Salvador, is required. One copy of the invoice may be enclosed in the parcel, or, if sent separately, it should be posted in time to reach the addresses before the parcel. One invoice is sufficient for a consignment of parcels posted at the same time by one sender to the same addressee. If the invoice covers a consignment of parcels and is forwarded with them, the parcels should be marked 1, 2, 3, and so on, by the sender, and the invoice should be enclosed in parcel No. 1, which should be noted accordingly; the remaining parcels should be marked INVOICE IN PARCEL No. 1. If an invoice is sent separately the parcel or parcels concerned should be marked accordingly.

CUSTOMS DECLARATIONS: the contents of a parcel should be fully described on the Customs declaration in accordance with the classification of the Customs Tariff of El Salvador.

PROHIBITIONS: letters; arms and parts of arms and saccharine and its pro-

ducts, except under permit; opium and other narcotics.

INSURANCE to Asmara, Assab, Cheren and Massouah only.

INVOICE: parcels containing merchandise should be accompanied by a copy

of the invoice dated and signed by the sender.

PACKING: parcels should be very strongly packed and sealed with a distinctive

device.
