PROHIBITIONS: letters; daggers and firearms, except under permit; gaming
appliances.
RESTRICTIONS apply to the importation of plants and parts of plants, including
seeds.
SEALING: parcels containing gold or silver articles, or other precious objects
must be sealed with a distinctive device.
PROHIBITIONS: letters; bank and currency notes, cheques, bonds and similar
documents in uninsured parcels; bees.
RESTRICTIONS apply to the importation of cinematograph films; firearms and parts thereof; plants and parts of plants (including fruit, seeds and potatoes); unroasted coffee.
The importation of certain other goods is subject to the production of an import licence, and such goods should not be despatched until the necessary licence has been obtained by the addressee.
ADDRESS: the use of two addresses on a parcel, one being that of a company or bank, and the other that of the person or firm to whom the parcel is to be delivered after payment for the contents has been made to the first addressee, is prohibited.

DELIVERY charges are collected from the addressees, except at Albina, Coronie,
Moengo, Nieuw-Nickerie and Paranıaribo.

products; plants and seeds; manufactured or leaf tobacco.
INVOICE: a consular invoice should be sent separately by letter post to the addressee for every parcel or consignment of parcels for one addressee, of which the value exceeds 200 sucres, sent from a place in which an Ecuadorean consular officer is resident; otherwise a fine is imposed by the Ecuadorean authorities.
Commercial parcels are liable to confiscation unless the addressee holds an
import permit from the Central Bank (of Ecuador).
INSURANCE to Bahia-de-Caraquez, Guayaquil and Quito only.
CHARGES for inland conveyance are collected from the addressees, except at
Bahia, Esmeraldas, Guayaquil and Manta.
