PROHIBITIONS: letters; raw cotton and cotton plants or seeds.

RESTRICTIONS apply to the importation of arms; chemicals; fruit; medicines

and serums. INVOICE: A consular invoice should be furnished for every parcel or consign- ment of parcels for Cuba, whatever the value of the contents; otherwise a fine is imposed by the Cuban Customs authorities. The invoice should be attached to the despatch note. One consular invoice is sufficient for any number of parcels posted at the same time by one sender to the same addressee.

DESPATCH PAPERS: separate set for each parcel.

invoices, delivery and Customs duty.

daggers; old clothing. RESTRICTIONS apply to the importation of arms and parts thereof; bees; cigarette papers; cinematograph films; honey; picture postcards; saccharine. INSURANCE only to Famagusta, Kyrenia, Larnaca, Limassol, Nicosia, Paphos,

*Pedhoulas, #Platres and *Troodos (* Open June to September only).

coins; dried and artificially coloured fruits; meat preservatives. RESTRICTIONS apply to the importation of arms and parts of arms; bees, beeswax and honey; colours containing lead and copper; cosmetics; meat, lard, and so on; medicines; plants and parts of plants; postage stamps; potatoes; saccharine and similar substances; serums and vaccines; tobacco in any form except for personal use and not over 500 grammes in weight; wireless apparatus.

GIFTS: used clothing is exempt from duty if sent for charitable purposes to

persons who can satisfy the authorities as to their need for such gifts.
