Imperial and Foreign Letter Mails
The following table gives a summary of the services. available to the various destinations mentioned in column 1. Full particulars of these services will be found on pages 54 to 123.
Columns 2 and 3 give the rates of letter postage for the first unit of weight. For those countries for which the rate is shown in column 3, letters are for- warded by air as the normal means of transmission,
Column 4 indicates the services available, the limit of insured value, and the limits of weight for printed papers, commercial papers and samples. Where the entry air mail appears, full particulars of the service will be found in the air mail leaflet. The reference letters (a), (b) or (c), relate to the entries prefixed by the corresponding letter in column 5.
Column 5 gives particulars of the Customs declara- tion forms required and of the language in which they should be drawn up if declarations in a language other than English are required. The letter C followed by an Arabic figure indicates the number of Customs declaration forms required.
Column 6 gives particulars of the principal prohibitions and restrictions.
