Articles likely to cause injury to officers of the Post Office or to damage other postal packets must be packed in accordance with the regulations on page 26.
POSTING
Small packets may be posted in a posting box or handed over the counter. They may be registered but not insured.

ARTICLES
Articles which may not be sent by letter post are also excluded from transmission in small packets; and, in addition, the following may not be sent in small packets:
Letters, notes or documents having the character of actual and personal correspondence (but an open invoice as well as a copy of the name and address of the sender and the addressee may be enclosed); coin; bank notes; currency notes; negotiable instruments payable to bearer; platinum, gold or silver; precious stones jewels and other valuable articles; postage stamps whether obliterated or not, or any paper representing a monetary value.

LARATIONS
Small packets may be sent to the undermentioned countries.
A green Customs label must be affixed to the address side of the packet, and, if the country of destination so requires, the packet must also be accom- panied by one or more non-adhesive Customs declara- tions enclosed in the packet.
A small packet posted without a green label affixed may result in the contents of the packet being confis- cated or a fine imposed upon the addressee.
In the case of packets for Czechoslovakia, Germany (except Austria) and Switzerland and registered packets for Holland, the Customs declarations must be securely attached to the outside of the packets.
The number of non-adhesive Customs declarations: required, if any, is indicated by a figure appearing against the name of the country. In some cases the country of destination requires that the Custom's:
