(b) The certificate must contain an exact copy of the address on the article to which it relates, and must have a two cent stamp affixed to it. (c) The officer on duty will compare the address of the article with the certificate and, if it is cor- rect, will obliterate the postage stamp, initial the certificate and return it to the person who presented it.
A postal article in respect of which a certificate of posting is issued will not be registered nor will it be checked in the post, but will be treated as if it had been posted in a letter-box. In the event of loss, dam- age, or delay the certificate will confer no title to compensation nor will it be deemed to furnish a proof of the nature of the contents of the postal article to which it relates.
Delivery
According to the Post Office Ordinance of Hong Kong the following shall be deemed to be delivery of a postal packet to the addressee:-
(1) delivery according to the usual manner of
delivering postal packets to the addressee; or (2) delivery at the house or office of the addressee;
or
(3) delivery to the addressee or to his servant or agent or other person having authority to receive such packet; or
(4) when the addressee is a guest and is resident at a hotel, delivery to the proprietor or manager or to his agent.
Correspondence is delivered by postmen on the Island from the General Post Office and Stanley Postal Kiosk in Kowloon from the Central Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui only and to certain parts of the New Terri- tories from the Branch Post Offices at Un Long, Taipo and Tsun Wan.
